Air Astana IPO discussed in Kazakh government

The IPO of the Air Astana Kazakh airline was discussed at a meeting of the State Commission on the Issues of Modernization of the Economy chaired by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov. The public sale of the company’s shares is set to take place this year as part of the implementation of the Comprehensive Privatization Plan for 2021-2025.

“The Samruk Kazyna Fund and Air Astana, in collaboration with international consultants, have conducted extensive preparatory work. The key issue discussed at the meeting was the determination of the price range for one ordinary share and one global depositary receipt of the company. Applications are planned to be accepted from January 29 to February 8,” said Dinara Alimova, Press Secretary to the Kazakh Prime Minister.
