Kazakh President meets Prime Minister to discuss socio-economic affairs

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, who reported on the current socio-economic situation in the country. Bektenov spoke about ongoing measures to bolster support for Kazakh commodity producers, noting the start of the efforts aimed at improving procurement procedures for government agencies, subsoil users, and quasi-public sector to increase the share of domestic content. The Prime Minister also outlined plans to ensure Kazakhstan’s GDP growth, focusing on the advanced development of promising industrial sectors, as instructed by the Head of State. Additionally, he briefed on the activities of the Commission on the Return of Illegally Acquired Assets. Following the meeting, President Tokayev gave a number of instructions.
