The development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route will enhance collaboration between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as stated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at a meeting with Uzbek Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov. The Head of State noted the progress across all sectors of cooperation between the two countries, underscoring Kazakhstan’s commitment to supporting Uzbekistan’s initiatives. The parties discussed issues related to expanding trade and economic ties, searching for new growth points, and boosting trade volume. This will be facilitated by the construction of the Darbaza-Maktaaral railway line with access to the Uzbekistan border, which has been commenced by Kazakhstan. Minister Saidov thanked President Tokayev for the warm welcome and conveyed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s best wishes. Subsequently, the schedule of upcoming meetings and events was reviewed.
