Kazakhstan shares experience in road sector digitalization in Paris
Unified database of road construction materials and technologies, a management system for the operation of bridges and overpasses, and indelible road markings are among the innovations being showcased by the Kazakhstan Road Research Institute in Paris. In the capital of France, a meeting of the Technical Committee of the World Road Association (PIARC) is currently underway. Experts highlight this as a unique international platform for specialist interaction and the exchange of experiences in the field of highways and road infrastructure. It also presents a significant opportunity to gain access to modern technical developments and industry documentation.
“Technical committees have
commenced their work, focusing on the first strategic theme of winter
maintenance, vehicle safety, asset management, and decarbonization. Discussions
also begin on sustainable development in the road infrastructure sector, road
mobility, and road management. Experts
from nearly 125 countries, totaling 1,200 individuals, will convene to set up
work for the upcoming four-year cycle spanning from 2024 to 2027, aiming to
advance the global road sector. Thus, the platform provided by the World Road Association
(PIARC) offers a unique opportunity for our experts to exchange experiences
with counterparts from other nations,” Berik Kamaliyev, Chairman of the PIARC National
Committee in Kazakhstan, said.
