Law enforcement agencies of Central Asian countries expand cooperation

Law enforcement agencies of the Central Asian countries are set to step up their cooperation. Astana hosted the first ever trilateral meeting of the interior ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The ministers emphasized the importance and relevance of intensifying cooperation across all areas of combating crime, including terrorism, drug trafficking, and illegal migration.

“Following the meeting, a protocol aimed at further enhancing cooperation in the fight against crime has been signed. The ministerial meeting took place in a traditionally friendly atmosphere characterized by complete mutual understanding and respect,” said Lyazzat Stamgaziyeva, Kazakh Interior Ministry’s Spokesperson.
