New digital systems to be launched in Kazakhstan in 2024
New digital solutions will enable regulating the issues of guaranteeing the legality of medications as well as monitoring the waiting list for kindergartens. These innovations have been presented in the Kazakh government. The first digital system will not only reduce the risk of shadow trade in medicines but also help effectively plan their centralized procurement. Overall, through a unique Data Matrix Code which will be applied to each medicine package, the platform allows online tracking of the total turnover of medicines across the country from production to utilization. In addition, Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov was briefed on the single database of the kindergarten waiting list. Thus, through the Egov.kz portal or mobile applications of second-tier banks, parents can choose up to four kindergartens to place their child on the waiting list. Then, parents will also be able to track the status of their application online, and subsequently enter into a contract. It is noteworthy that both services have been launched in a pilot mode, and they will be fully operational in 2024.
