DBK presents updated development strategy until 2030

The increase in the share of competitive products with high added value, the expansion of the range of exported goods, as well as the creation of infrastructure for stable economic growth of the country. These amendments were made to the development strategy of the country’s key financial institution – the Development Bank of Kazakhstan until 2030. This was announced by the managing Director Rakhimzhan Satayev. He noted that the DBK is set to focus on financing projects aimed at manufacturing the products of non-raw-materials sector in the next nine years. The share of such industries should be at least 50 percent by 2030, the bank’s representative said. Among the main tasks for the next decade is support for infrastructure and investments projects.

“In the updated development strategy, a key emphasis is placed on increasing the participation of the private sector in diversification, modernization of the economy by introducing more of the market component into the relations of the bank with business. It is also important that we will keep acting as the main operator of government programs for industrial and innovative development and infrastructure development programs. We included a new strategic goal for the implementation of compliance with the principles of sustainable development in the draft of the updated development strategy,” Satayev said.

According to Rakhimzhan Satayev, thus, the DBK will keep supporting “green” projects and help increase the share of renewable energy sources in the country’s energy balance to 15 percent by 2030.
