Kazakhstan and Singapore to cooperate in development of new city

Kazakhstan and Singapore are set to implement a new project G4 City that will be built in Almaty region. The metropolis will be located along the Almaty – Kapshagai highway and will consist of four areas: business and financial center, educational and health hub, transport and logistics hub, tourism and entertainment. G4 City will be given the status of a Special Economic Zone. It is planned to build an international airport and open direct flights to Singapore. The city will become a new economic hub of Central Asia and will give a serious impetus to the further growth of foreign investment in the economy of Kazakhstan.

“We are here to present the master plan for the G4 city. It’s an integrated and transformative master plan, which will be able to transform the entire area into an industrial as well as a knowledge hub and provide the next generation of work, live and play,” said Wong Heang Fine, CEO of a Singaporean company.
