The right policy of the Kazakh authorities made it possible to mitigate the blow to the external image of the country and to avoid the outflow of foreign investment. According to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, no investor left the country during these days of turbulence. S&P Global estimates that Kazakhstan's credit rating has a chance to maintain its previous level. According to various estimates, the losses of Kazakhstan’s economy after the January events could amount to US$2.5 billion. These include the losses caused by pogroms, as well as the interruption of activities and the Internet blackout.

“A state commission had been set up to investigate the situation on the basis of all available facts.
