IMF cuts global economic growth forecast

Kazakhstan’s GDP growth will decrease to 2.3 percent in 2022. This is stated in the International Monetary Fund’s World Economic Outlook. In the previous forecast, analysts expected the country’s GDP to increase by 3.8 percent. As for 2023, Kazakhstan’s economy can grow by 4.4 percent. Overall, the IMF predicts a slowdown in the growth of the entire global economy. The rate decreased from 4.4 to 3.6 percent. The reasons were mainly the situation in Ukraine, as well as high inflation in advanced, emerging markets and developing economies.
