Grain harvest to increase significantly this year, Kazakh Agriculture Ministry says

This year the grain harvest will increase significantly. Farmers plan to collect at least 0.7 centners per hectare. The Ministry of Agriculture announced this positive outlook. The issue of importing seeds from Russia was also resolved, which will also have a positive impact on the industry. The export of grain from a neighboring country was previously banned. According to Vice Agriculture  Minister Abulkhair Tamabek, these seeds are needed to renew and replace varieties.

“This will make it possible to get 14,000 tonnes of seeds more than planned. All agreements previously reached with our neighbors will be implemented,” Tamabek said.

Spring field work has already started in all regions of the country. To date, more than 11 million hectares of land have been sown with grain.
