Oil production process at Kashagan field resumed

Nearly 100,000 barrels of oil are produced at the Kashagan deposit per day. Lately, work has been resumed at the oilfield after a recent incident, the Kazakh Energy Ministry reported. Gas detectors at the Bolashak plant went off on August 3, and thereafter all the integrated oil and gas treatment units were suspended. Since the beginning of the year, over seven million tonnes of oil and almost 4.5 billion cubic meters of associated gas have been extracted at Kashagan.
