Kazakhstan’s economy grows by 3.3% since start of 2022

Kazakhstan’s GDP grew by 3.3 percent since the start of 2022, the country’s Ministry of National Economy reports. The data show that the foreign trade turnover increased by 40 percent and amounted to US$63.7 billion in the first six months of the year. In particular, exports increased by 56 percent, including that of processed goods growing 33.5 percent. In addition, fixed investment in the country increased 4.5 percent. The real sector is a major contributor to economic growth, Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov observed.

“The GDP growth amounted to 3.3 percent. This year, positive trends were maintained in such sectors as construction (an increase of 8.6 percent), communications (6.5 percent), trade (6.2 percent), transport and warehousing (5.6 percent), manufacturing (4.9 percent), agriculture (2.1 percent) and others,” said Kuantyrov.
