Kassym-Jomart Tokayev holds series of meetings with heads of major U.S. companies

Development of education, training of civil servants and academic support to universities - these were the issues discussed by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in New York at a meeting with Jeff Maggioncalda, the Chief Executive Officer of Coursera, which is one of the leading companies in the field of education and training of modern life skills. In addition, President Tokayev touched upon such topics as the prospects for expanding Microsoft’s presence in Kazakhstan, including plans to open an IT lab, as well as the retraining and advanced training of IT professionals, in a conversation with Michelle Simmons, the company’s general manager for Central Asia. The Head of State also met with the founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, who invited the Kazakh President to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2023.
