Saudi Arabia intends to expand cooperation with Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia intend to boost cooperation. The parties intend to expand multilateral partnership. First of all, the two states will be focusing on strengthening diplomatic, trade, economic and investment cooperation, announced spokesperson for the Saudi Embassy in Kazakhstan, Yahya Ahmed Okeish. According to him, a new vector of relations between the countries was set as a result of one of the recent visits of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Saudi Arabia. During that visit, the Kazakh President noted the similarity of views of the two countries on the future of economic development, including within the Kazakhstan 2050 Strategy and the Saudi Vision 2030 program.

“We have forged strong ties of bilateral diplomatic relations for 30 years.  During the meetings of the leaders of the two countries, many different agreements were signed between the two sides. I’d like to quote the heir to the throne of our country who said that there is no limit to investments and economic relations. In the future, we plan to strengthen our work in this direction and will make every effort to raise the relations between the two countries to a higher level,” said Yahya Ahmed Okeish.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one our most reliable partners among the countries of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf. Over the past 30 years, we have established a good political, cultural and humanitarian dialogue with that country. The establishment and further development of investment relations with the Gulf countries, in particular with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is very important to us. We’ve established cooperation with Saudi investment funds, as well as national and private companies of that country. Everyone expresses great interest in Kazakhstan. We believe that in the future our cooperation will be further strengthened,” Askar Shokybayev, Director of the Middle East and Africa Department of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, said.
