Kazakhstan’s chemical exports total US$559.5 million

The export of the Kazakh chemical industry to foreign markets is on the rise. Thus, domestic commodity producers delivered products worth US$559.5 million abroad. This is 47 percent higher than in the same period of 2021. The share of domestic producers increased and amounted to 9.3 percent in the market for the first five months of this year. Experts discussed the development of the sphere within an international exhibition of the manufacturing industry, reports the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs. The largest proportion of industry production falls on the chemicals for industry sector, making up over 65 percent, agricultural chemistry – 22 percent, and basic petrochemicals – 11.5 percent. Overall, the total chemical industry production amounted to more than 400 billion tenge, which is almost 60 percent higher than in 2021.
