Kazakhstan plans to build marine terminal

Sarzha multifunctional marine terminal may appear in Kazakhstan. It is planned to be built in the Kuryk port. The investments volume will amount to almost 100 billion tenge until 2030, the governor’s office of the Mangystau region reports. The construction of the railway and engineering infrastructure, the first phase of the general cargo terminal and the cargo berth will be completed in November. As a result, transshipment of additional volumes of Kazakh and transit goods will start this year. Besides, it is planned to set up a modern grain terminal in the Kuryk port for the transshipment of grain and oilseeds. The project cost is four billion tenge. Meanwhile, the production capacity of the sea harbor this year made up 1.5 million tonnes.
