Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan intend to increase trade turnover to US$2 billion

Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan intend to boost the bilateral trade volume to US$2 billion. At present, the trade turnover between the states exceeds one billion dollars, finprom.kz reports. The parties express interest in the supply of early season horticultural crops from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan. In turn, Kyrgyzstan is the second largest consumer among the EAEU countries to procure domestic industrial and consumer goods. It bears noting that Kazakhstan’s export to Kyrgyzstan has increased by 2.5 times over the past two years. Kazakhstan exports food, oil, gas, machinery, as well as chemical products and metals to the Central Asian country. In turn, Kyrgyzstan supplies mineral, plant and animal products, and other goods to the Kazakh market.
