New Climate Economy Centre opens in Kazakhstan

The New Climate Economy Center named after Nobel laureate Rae Kwon Chung has been opened in Shymkent. Its experts will work together with the students from the Auezov South Kazakhstan University in the areas of the introduction of the new model of economic development and green technologies, as well as mitigation of climate change impacts on agriculture. In addition, the Сenter will work in close collaboration with other international scientific institutes, develop new innovative training programs and undertake a wide range of research activities.

“I think the center will play a very critical role in developing new thinking and providing policies, suggestions and recommendations to the government,” opined Nobel laureate Rae Kwon Chung.
