“The countries have large-scale joint projects under implementation. The share of national currencies in mutual settlements is increasing. This positive dynamics clearly demonstrates the high level of interaction and the significant potential of our integration partnership,” Tokayev said.

In addition, the Kazakh President highlighted the significance of developing international economic cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union. He noted that the scope of the Union’s foreign trade interests is expanding every year, showing a positive trend. Kazakhstan supports this course. The Head of State stressed that it is now of great importance to focus on enhancing cooperation with partners in Vietnam, Serbia, and Iran. According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, it is also essential to speed up the work on free trade agreements with India, Egypt, Indonesia, and Israel.

“Kazakhstan is gratified to note the commencement of negotiations with the United Arab Emirates on a free trade agreement. I regard the given initiative as very promising and corresponding to the interests of the Eurasian Economic Union. It is of great importance to start the process without delay,” Tokayev added.
