All public services for Kazakh business sector to be available online in 2021

All public services for the business sector in Kazakhstan will be available online by next year. Authorities intend to integrate them into a single platform, Kazakh Minister of National Economy Ruslan Dalenov announced at parliamentary hearings. A number of public services in Kazakhstan have already been transferred into electronic format. For example, safety of real estate transactions was improved, and many construction requirements were eliminated. The relevant minister said that the new format of interaction will be based on the online platform ‘Government for Business’. It contains nearly 200 public services and support measures. To date, the number of small and medium-sized entities in Kazakhstan exceeds 1.3 million.

“Currently, small and medium-sized enterprises in Kazakhstan employ nearly 3.3 million people. This represents 39 percent of the economically active population. This is an area of great social importance. In the current state-of-the-nation address, President of Kazakhstan proposed comprehensive support measures as additional assistance to SMEs. The pandemic has led to a significant increase in the volume of concessional lending. In addition, government subsidies are provided to reduce loan payments by up to 6 percent,” said Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairperson of Senate, the Upper House of Kazakh Parliament.
