Kazakhstan will launch 170 new industrial investment projects worth about one trillion tenge this year.
The country has a potential for localization of goods, works and services worth over 10 trillion tenge, some of which could be produced and rendered by medium-sized enterprises.
The largest amount was received from the Turkistan region and Shymkent city.
290 projects are planned to be implemented in 140 border villages under the ‘Auyl-Yel Besigi’ program this year.
The industry development was discussed at a meeting of the Council of Domestic Entrepreneurs chaired by Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov.
It is planned to allocate over 2,500 grants first.
It will also fully digitize the business processes of government agencies.
The share of small and medium-sized businesses in Kazakhstan's GDP is expected to grow to 35 percent within the next two years.
