Kazakhstan records 158 coronavirus infections in last 24 hours

Kazakhstan reported 158 new cases of Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours. Almaty city accounts for the highest single-day case count in the country. The southern metropolis detected 88 new positive cases of the dangerous infection. The same diagnosis was reported in 35 residents of the Kazakh capital. According to Kazakh Health Ministry, since the beginning of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country have exceeded 1,307,000. In addition, 1,155 Kazakh residents are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus, 147 of them are treated on an inpatient basis. Eight people are in serious condition. Meanwhile, 73 Kazakh citizens were reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours.
