Kazakhstan intends to accelerate education’s digital transformation

Kazakhstan will accelerate the education’s digital transformation. Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov gave a number of instructions to implement the Comfortable School national project. Thus, he stressed the need to digitize textbooks and provide school students with tablets in rural areas. Governors’ offices of the regions along with the Kazakhstan Khalkyna Fund were entrusted to work out the issue of purchasing the gadgets. Smailov emphasized that the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry, together with telecom operators, should provide high-speed Internet to all schools in the country. As part of the national project, new-format schools for 800,000 pupils will be built in the state as well. The PM instructed to determine their locations in the regions.
