Kazakhstan to reconstruct 12,000 km of highways by 2025

Kazakhstan will build and reconstruct 12,000 km of roads by 2025. The third part of them will be built within the implementation of new projects. More than 10,000 kilometers will be repaired. Kazakh Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov reported this at a government’s meeting. He said that 607 kilometers of roads will be built as part of the launch of four new projects this year. Road construction works will cover almost 5,000 kilometers of the national network. A roadway of 3,600 kilometers is currently being built and reconstructed. By the end of the year, over 2,000 kilometers will be put into operation, while the traffic will be launched on nearly 1,500 kilometers of highways.
