Kazakh government approves Nationwide Plan to implement President’s State-of-the-Nation Address

The nationwide plan for the implementation of the state-of-the-nation address by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was adopted today at a government meeting. A document containing 102 measures in seven directions will help to implement five initiatives of the Head of State. All this will improve the well-being of citizens, MPs said. In addition, Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin stressed that the government will take active measures to ensure stable and quality economic growth in the post-pandemic period, as well as promote health, education, culture and regional development, and the creation of an efficient labour market ecosystem.

“The implementation of the Head of State’s initiatives to improve the social well-being of our citizens is an important aspect of the government’s work. Particular attention will be given to ensuring the population’s real income growth through higher wages, a greater share of the private sector and reduction in the tax burden. The presented Nationwide Plan for the implementation of the President’s state-of-the-nation address fully meets the set objectives. All the first heads of central and local executive bodies are personally responsible for the quality and timely implementation of the measures included in this plan,” said Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin.

Among the measures taken to implement the five initiatives of the Head of State, there are many that will directly affect the quality of life of Kazakh citizens. For example, from the beginning of the next year, the minimum wage in the country will increase to 60,000 tenge (US$141). In addition, the state will encourage businesspeople to raise the salaries of their employees. Also, Kazakh citizens will soon be able to receive their pension savings for transfer to the accounts of Otbasy Bank and much more.
