European Union makes statement on referendum in Kazakhstan

The European Union made a statement on the referendum in Kazakhstan. The message of the official representative of the organization says that the EU takes note of the results of the nationwide referendum, which was held in the country on June 5. The information was published in the Telegram channel of the referendum. The EU welcomes the political reforms initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as well as the decision to ask for public opinion directly and invite the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights to observe the referendum. Kazakhstan remains an important and valuable partner for the European Union. The parties will continue interaction in accordance with the Enhanced Cooperation Agreement.
