Evening of Kazakh culture and art takes place in Ethiopia

Works by great Kazakh authors such as Zhambyl Zhabayev, Abai Kunanbaiuly, Mukagali Makatayev and other prominent figures were recited at the Kazakh Embassy to Ethiopia, where an evening devoted to the culture of the Kazakh people was held. Kazakhs living in that country were among the participants. According to Embassy officials, such meetings expand the knowledge of the younger generation about traditions and customs, great historical figures and their outstanding contribution to the development of Kazakh culture, namely literature, poetry and folk music. The guests of the event also attended a photo exhibition dedicated to the Day of the Kazakh Capital of Nur-Sultan. All of the showcased works illustrate the progressive pace of development of the country during the years of Independence. It was also announced during the event that the Abai Kunanbaiuly Cultural Center located in the African country, the activity of which had been suspended because of the pandemic, would be reopened.
