Experts positively assess performances of Kazakh weightlifters at Olympics 2020

Experts positively assess the performances of Kazakh weightlifters at the Tokyo Olympics. The athletes managed to fairly represent Kazakhstan at the main competitions of the four years. Two weightlifters represented the country in Tokyo in this sport, Zulfiya Chinshanlo and Igor Son. Both returned home with bronze medals. They won the awards fair and square. Executive Director of Kazakhstan’s Weightlifting Federation Aldiyar Nuralinov spoke about the numerous checks of athletes before leaving for the competition. He said that international controllers came to Kazakhstan on the eve of the competitions. Also, weightlifters additionally took the test before flying to Japan to once again make sure that the results were clean. According to the expert, seminars and trainings on anti-doping programs are regularly held in the country.

“It is very gratifying that our athletes coped, showed endurance, despite the refereeing, the approaches that were not counted. In this regard, I was very proud for Igor, he did not fall apart, he fulfilled the tasks, the weights that were assigned by the coach. Therefore, of course, I assess the performances of our athletes positively, they managed to bring the necessary medals to the treasury of Kazakhstan’s national team,” said Aldiyar Nuralinov, Executive Director of the Weightlifting Federation of Kazakhstan.

The athletes, in their turn, announced that they are not going to stop there and will now prepare for performances at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.
