President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev writes article on Kazakhstan’s independence

The article of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev dedicated to independence of Kazakhstan was published in the Egemen Qazaqstan newspaper. President Tokayev said that Independence is a sacred concept for Kazakh people, who have passed through a difficult period and gained independence. The article highlights the achievements of Kazakhstan in the areas of socio-economic development and culture. The President stresses the need to develop the economy to improve social well-being of the population. The article also mentions that favorable conditions will be created for the labour-intensive population of Southern Kazakhstan to settle in the Northern and Eastern Kazakhstan, and the returning of ethnic Kazakhs to the homeland will be revived.

“Both issues are strategically important. It should be regarded seriously. Local authorities should do this work as a matter of government concern,” President Tokayev said.
