Bogenbai Batyr descendants hand over his helmet to military history museum

Kazakh military history museum of Nur-Sultan showcases Bogenbai batyr’s helmet. Earlier, the headdress was kept by the descendant of the famous warrior in the seventh generation Jabai Kenzhalin, who handed it over to the museum fund at a solemn ceremony. The exhibit, according to experts, is of particular historical value, because the great Kazakh commander led the armies of three tribes and bravely fought for the independence of the Kazakh people. It is no coincidence that the event was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence. After the death of the warrior, some items of his personal weapons were kept by his family as sacred relics for three centuries and were passed down from generation to generation. Now, all Kazakh residents can see the battle helmet of the legendary warrior.

“It is of great importance for all people of Kazakhstan, especially for the younger generation. The warrior’s service to the motherland is a worthy example for the younger generation, we must always remember about our ancestors, about today’s heroes so that our country prospers not for 30 years, as we celebrate it now, but for 3,000 years. Mangilik Yel is an outstanding idea, we should all work to realize it,” said Marat Nagumanov, Deputy Chairperson of the National Public Association ‘Veterans of Armed Forces.’
