Kazakh citizens demonstrated unity during January events, Kazakh Ambassador says

Kazakh citizens have demonstrated their unity despite the provocative actions of various terrorist groups. Altay Abibullayev, Ambassador-at-Large of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, expressed this opinion in an interview with Qazaq TV. According to him, the recent tragic events had been a great lesson for all citizens. The country is turning a new page in its history. Kazakhstan has got a second wind and will develop in a completely new, progressive direction, Abibullayev believes.

“I think we’ve learned strong lessons from these tragic events in Almaty and other cities of Kazakhstan. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his speech at the parliament said that we need to build a new Kazakhstan. I think it is very strong political message. New Government of Kazakhstan should focus all its attention on strengthening social economic policy. I think all Kazakhstan and all Kazakh people living around the world should take part in this nationalwide action. I think our strength and our power is in unity, in our solidarity. We need to take part in the nationwide action because it is our home, it is our state—Kazakhstan,” said Abibullayev.
