January Events in Kazakhstan: over 3,000 weapons stolen

Over 180 cases are being investigated by the Prosecutor's Office on the facts of mass riots and acts of terrorism committed in Kazakhstan in early January. In total, 3,096 pre-trial investigations were registered. This was reported during a special briefing. According to operational data, 741 people are suspected of robberies, thefts, theft of weapons, the use of violence against law enforcement officers. 113 of them have criminal records, more than 40 are members of extremist movements banned in the country. During the January events, more than 3,000 weapons were stolen in the country. Only a third of the stolen items were found.
