Celebration of 150th anniversary of Akhmet Baitursynuly

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the founder of Kazakh linguistics and literary studies Akhmet Baitursynuly. Events are planned to be held in the capital of France and Turkish Istanbul. Also, under the auspices of UNESCO, they will take place in all regions of Kazakhstan. One of the major ones will be the International Congress in Turkistan. Large infrastructure and cultural projects are being implemented in Kostanai region, where the scientist was born.

“Akhmet Baitursynuly is an outstanding historical and state figure, scientist, educator. The era when Akhmet Baitursynuly lived and the current era of Independence have a common goal – the development of modern values while maintaining national identity,” said Erlan Karin, Kazakh Secretary of State.
