Historians discover new facts about Kazakh Khanate

Historians discovered previously unknown facts about Kedei bi, a confidant to Abulkhair Khan, in the state archive of the Orenburg region, Russia. The historical figure from 1740 to 1750 represented the interests of the Kazakh Khanate in St. Petersburg. In addition, as part of expeditions, he studied the Kazakh lands, which he later wrote about in his books. Information about the person who made a significant contribution to the development of the Kazakh Khanate in the 18th century will be included in the encyclopedia, which will be published as part of the Modernization of Kazakhstan’s Identity program.

“In the 21st century, much attention is paid to innovation, science and technology. But we must not forget about the spiritual factor, about the history of the nation. A nation that does not know its history has no future. We must not only work to fill in the gaps in our history, but also carefully pass this knowledge on to future generations,” said Bereket Karibayev, a PhD in History.
