International Festival of Children's Theater Companies held in Taraz

Taraz is hosting the Third International Festival of Children's Theater Companies. It is attended by 11 troupes from all regions of the country and young artists from neighboring Kyrgyzstan. The event marks the Уear of Сhildren in Kazakhstan. Its purpose is to popularize theatrical art and discover new young talents. The festival will be held from 13 to 18 June.

“This is not the first time the festival of theater ensembles is being held in Kazakhstan, but it is the festival of children's studios that is really a novelty that we have not had yet. There are two or three consecutive performances a day. Both adults and young viewers will be able to enjoy the bright spectacle during this week, and completely free of charge,” said Akyldos Tazhiyev, Director of the Zhambyl Regional Russian Drama Theater.
