Olzhas Suleimenov awarded France’s highest state award

The famous poet and public figure Olzhas Suleimenov received a high award in France. He received the French National Order of the Legion of Honor for the contribution to the anti-nuclear movement.

“This is one of the highest awards in France. In order to get it, a person needs to be famous not only in their country, but all over the world. We must appreciate the work of Olzhas Suleimenov in maintaining peace, in bringing countries closer. This also applies to relations between France and Kazakhstan,” said Galymkair Mutanov, member of the World Academy of Art and Science.
