Fifth meeting of Scientific Council of Turkic Academy takes place in Nur-Sultan

Students will be able to learn history, geography and literature of the Turkic-speaking countries form special textbooks common to the Turkic world. The ministers of education of the five Turkic states made this joint decision at the fifth meeting of the Scientific Council of the Turkic Academy. Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan are expected to include these works into school electives. According to experts, the content of the textbooks is rich, since it includes unique information, a detailed history and a rich artistic heritage of Turkic peoples.

“These textbooks are intended for students of seventh and eighth grades. They are made in a modern style with clear illustrations and diagrams. All textbooks were developed by the International Turkic Academy. They also were approved by the scientific consensus with the participation of specialists in various fields, experts, representatives of education ministries. These textbooks will be an excellent guide for hundreds of thousands of schoolchildren. We believe that the idea of the Turkic world should be formed at the elementary school,” said Darkhan Kydyrali, President of the International Turkic Academy.

In addition to the cooperation in the field of education between the Turkic countries, the participants of the meeting also discussed such issues as the list of important anniversaries and the plan of events of the Turkic community and the implementation of joint research projects.
