Book by President Tokayev translated into Romanian

The book "The Word about the Father" by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was translated into Romanian. It was presented as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Romania in Bucharest. It tells about the historical events of the 1930s and describes the childhood and youth of Kemel Tokayev, the war and his creative path in literature.

“It was an informative presentation of the book by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. It is very important for everyone to know their ancestry. I believe that Mr. Tokayev is making a great contribution to the creation of the future of Kazakhstan,” noted Miguel Maury Buendia, Apostolic Nuncio in Romania.

Meanwhile, the book written by the President of Romania was presented at the Kazakh National Academic Library in Nur-Sultan. The autobiography of Klaus Iohannis ‘Step by Step’ was translated into Kazakh.

“I’d like to say that I believe that such events make a special contribution to the development of our relations. It is spiritual ties, human, educational and cultural ties that they strengthen,” said Madalina Lupu, Romanian Ambassador to Kazakhstan.

“Thanks to the active work of our embassy in Romania, a park called “Kazakhstan” was opened in Bucharest last year. A bust of Abai Kunanbaiuly was also erected there. I was in Romania and I want to say that Abai’s works are honored and loved in this country,” added Ulykbek Yesdaulet, Chairperson of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan.
