Kazakh school students win 21 medals at international Olympiads

Kazakh schoolchildren won three gold, 13 silver and five bronze medals at the international Olympiads, Kazakh Minister of Enlightenment Askhat Aimagambetov announced on his social media accounts. According to the interim results of the current year's subject competitions, 21 out of 23 contestants from the country won medals. Six medals were received in mathematics, five in physics, two in geography and four each in biology and chemistry, Aimagambetov stated. The winners of international scientific competitions will get monetary prizes. Thus, students will receive up to 4,5 million tenge, as well as a scholarship for studying at a university without having to take a high school graduation exam.
