Exhibition of Korean artist takes place in Nur-Sultan

A personal exhibition “The Eternal” by the world-famous South Korean artist Park Dae Sung has opened in Kazakhstan. The National Museum of Kazakhstan houses the travelling exposition, which presents the brightest examples of Korean fine art. Overall, the exhibition presents more than 20 works by the master, most of which are landscapes. The exposition is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relationship between Kazakhstan and South Korea, and the Year of Cultural Exchange announced between the countries. The representatives of the two countries intend to organize more joint events soon, as well as hold several exhibitions. At one of them, visitors will be able to see the samples of Korean traditional children’s clothing. At another, onlookers will be able to learn more about the culture of the Kingdom of Baekje.

“This Saturday at 5 pm, on our website, you can watch the online broadcast of the “Ahn Jung-geun, a Dance in the Heaven” ballet, performed by artists of the Seoul Art Center. The performance tells about a brave man who fought for the independence of Korea. In addition, on September 8, we will organize a small harvest festival. The next day, as part of the opening ceremony of the 10th anniversary season of the Astana Opera Theatre, a Gala-Opera classical music concert will be held with the participation of the world-famous Korean soprano Jo Su Mi. All information about these and other cultural events can be found on our official website and social networks,” said Lee Hye-Ran, Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Kazakhstan.

In addition, the local community will have the opportunity to taste the national dishes of the Korean people, take part in culinary master classes, Korean language courses and traditional dances.
