Kazakhstan’s entrant for Junior Eurovision Song Contest announced

Almaty resident David Charlin will represent Kazakhstan at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The candidate was selected at the Baqytty bala 2022 competition, which took place in Aktobe. Over 200 singers applied for the international project this time. 21 contestants made it to the finals. Young vocalists from Russia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Spain, Bulgaria and Romania also took part in the event.

“It was my first time participating in the Baqytty Bala contest. I’m very happy that I won the opportunity to represent Kazakhstan at the international competition,” David Charlin, participant of the Baqytty Bala 2022 children’s vocal competition, shared.

“The Baqytty Bala international competition was a stage to select contestants for the Eurovision this year. I believe that David will make it,” said music producer Zhan Mukanov.
