Kazakh capital hosts VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions

The Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in the Kazakh capital continues. Day 2 agenda has several important and relevant topics. These are the role of religions in fostering spiritual and moral values, the contribution of religious leaders and politicians to the promotion of global interreligious dialogue and peace, counteraction to extremism, radicalism and terrorism, and women’s contribution to well-being and sustainable development of present-day society. More than 100 delegations from 50 countries take part in the international forum. Also, the Closing Ceremony of the Congress will take place in the Palace of Independence today. Earlier, the congresses of spiritual leaders were held in Kazakhstan in 2003, 2006, 2009, 2012, 2015 and 2018. The current one is called the seventh.
