Kazakhstan officially renamed its capital back to Astana. Today, the corresponding decree entered into force. The document, signed by the President of Kazakhstan on September 17, is published on the Akorda website. This proposal was previously made by the parliamentary group “Zhana Kazakhstan”. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev supported the initiative.
