Situation at Kazakh-Russian border is under control, says Kazakh National Security Committee

There has been an increase in the number of foreign nationals entering Kazakhstan at the Kazakh-Russian border. The Border Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan reported that the congestion due to the increased flow of passengers and vehicles is observed at four car checkpoints. The remaining 30 border-crossing points are operating normally. Overall, the National Security Committee stated that the situation is under special control. The Border Service, together with the competent state bodies, ensures safety and public order at the border checkpoints. A mutual interaction with the Russian border service has also been established.
