Kazakhstan ranks 28th in UN E-Government Development Index

Kazakhstan ranked 28th in the UN E-Government Development Index. Compared to 2020, the country climbed from the 29th spot one position up, the country’s Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry reports. When compiling the rating, experts of the international organization assess the development of online services and human capital in the country, as well as telecommunication infrastructure. The relevant ministry noted that over the past two years Kazakhstan managed to improve its indicators despite the increasing load on e-government infrastructure. The country intends to improve the quality of domestic information and communication technologies in order to get into the top 20 in the foreseeable future. It bears noting that about 500 public services are currently available on the eGov mobile application, 212 of which are the services of the eGov.kz portal. The UN publishes the global e-government development every two years, where it evaluates its 193 member states.
