Head of State receives Mazhilis Chairperson Yerlan Koshanov

The Turkic community unanimously supported Kazakhstan’s bid to host the next V World Nomad Games in 2024. The Head of State received the Chairperson of the Mazhilis. Yerlan Koshanov reported on the participation of the Kazakh delegation in the opening ceremony of the IV World Nomad Games in Turkey. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was also informed about the legislative work of the Mazhilis of the Kazakh Parliament. In particular, the Mazhilis members considered and sent to the Senate draft laws ‘On the Human Rights Ombudsperson’, ‘On the Constitutional Court’, ‘On the Prosecutor's Office’, as well as amendments to a number of constitutional and other laws. These provisions will strengthen the protection of the constitutional rights of citizens and increase public participation in the political life of the country.
