Food Festival in Aktau

A culinary festival entitled ‘Balqaimaq - Food Fest’ was held in Aktau. The event took place in a theme park of the Caspian coast, which was attended by more than 20 local chefs. The festival's highlight was the battle of confectioners, where the finalists competed in real-time. Confectionery products were evaluated not only by an expert jury made up of well-known professionals, but also by visitors. A fair of national dishes also took place during the festival. Local entrepreneurs presented to the audience their own bakery and dairy products.

“This event is aimed at extending the tourist season in the Mangystau region. In addition, the festival demonstrated hospitality of the country and introduced the region’s gastronomy. We are going to organize 20 more events in October and November,” organizer Serik Issagaliyev shared.
