The rich literary heritage of the great Abai Kunanbaiuly has become more accessible to a wide audience abroad. These are two scientific works devoted to the work of the Kazakh classic. One of them, a collective monograph in English, was published in Ankara. The book presents scientific research of domestic and international scientists. The second one is a two-volume annotated bibliographic index. It covers over 12,000 titles of publications on Abai studies.

“Foreign readers express interest in Abai’s works, especially among the Turkic countries. They include Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. We found all these works in the libraries and electronic databases of these countries,” Almas Shyngyspayev, senior researcher of the Eurasian Research Institute, said.

“These books are useful both for Abai experts and young researchers, as well as for those who are interested in Abai's work. Their advantage is that they describe the unique features of the Kazakh classic’s works,” Zhandos Aubakir, Director of the Abai Academy Research Institute, said.
