Kazakh presidential election: Preparation of polling stations overseas

Kazakh citizens overseas will be able to cast their votes on Election Day. 68 polling stations will open in 53 countries on November 20. This applies to those Kazakh residents who will be abroad on that day for some reason. The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that citizens may apply to a diplomatic mission or consular post of Kazakhstan, at which a polling station has been set up. Voting at foreign offices will be held on election day on November 20 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time. The country’s Foreign Ministry advises citizens to contact the nearest polling station in advance and provide data for inclusion in the voter lists.

“Three polling stations will open in Turkey in the cities of Ankara, Istanbul, and Antalya. The polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. For our part, we ask citizens of Kazakhstan to contact the nearest polling station in advance and provide information for inclusion in the voter list,” said Assan Mazhitov, Deputy Chairperson of the Precinct Election Commission No.286.
